Moore-Hartman Mystery
Melinda Moore Hartman
photography
My photographs represent a deep connection with the natural world that evokes a sense of timelessness perceived in the present moment.
All things are ultimately expressions of light assuming many forms. One form is color. Although our eyes may see only a certain range of light wavelengths, and therefore certain colors, the use of digital photography may reveal even more color nuances. Only the color balance and contrast are adjusted in my photographs; no images are added nor removed.
All images are printed on quality paper and use inks that will last for generations. Every photograph is personally created and printed by myself.
Moore-Hartman: Swirl of Serenity
Finding myself unable to draw, I turned to photography when I was first in college. Photography allowed me to express the forms and light that I perceived. By chance, I lived near Wynn Bullock briefly, and he provided me with some valuable insights.
Originally from Northern California, and now based in Southern Oregon, I have found that these two regions with their coasts, mountains, rivers and four seasons provide endless opportunities for the photographic expression.
