Southern Oregon Photographers' Forum

group exhibition

Southern Oregon Photographers’ Forum (SOPF) is a photographic forum of Rogue Valley artists who come together to practice their art and to learn from each other.  The membership is comprised of professional photographers and serious amateurs that together produce a diverse body of work. The show represents a variety of subjects and styles from realistic to abstract. The artists featured in our May exhibit include: Sean Bagshaw, John C. Bruckman, Jim Chamberlain, Cathy DeForest, Teri Dixon, Kate Geary, Thomas Glassman, Darlene Lyon Kruse, Gaelyn Larrick, Geri Mathewson, Bobbi Murphy, Diana Standing, David Lorenz Winston and Julie Young

The group shares their art, knowledge and resources with one another and with the community.  SOPF was formed in December, 2006 and provides an informal way for its members to show their work to peers, receive constructive critiques, learn a variety of techniques from each other, go on shoots together and support the work of the members.

In addition to the meetings, members who are experts in photography lead small study groups, currently open to SOPF members only, on various aspects of Photoshop, Lightroom, camera equipment and technology as well as workshops celebrating the art of photography.

Please join us for an Artist Reception on First Friday, May 7th, from 5:00-8:00 pm.  Music will be provided by local guitarist, Matt Gwinup. Enjoy wine, appetizers, and lively conversation with other art enthusiasts!
